"The most important skills you need to be able to do this job is to love working outside and not be afraid to get your hands dirty."

In the first three quarters of 2000, energy accounted for almost two-thirds of Canada's large trade surplus.

Josée Henri is a maintenance technician. She came to her career in the oil industry through…hockey. It's on the ice that Josée met someone who offered her a job as sales rep for an oil tech equipment company.

When she accepted the job, she had to change her appearance from that of well-dressed young lady to that of grease monkey. She got on-the-job training and never once regretted her choice.

Did you know? Canada is one of the most important sources of US energy imports.

What Josée finds great about this job is the freedom she has doing the work. And it gets her all over the place; she gets to work in the city, in the country, even on boats.
