"There's no competition between men and women in this job. It's sure that if you come in and you can't handle a joystick, they're going to wonder what you're doing here."

Canada has over 900 multimedia developers and publishers, specializing in entertainment, education and corporate applications.

Natasha Bouchard has a real passion for video games. It's a good thing because a love of the games is one of the main qualifications needed to get a job in this industry. Of course you also have to have the necessary skills - and that's something Natasha also has.

Did you know? The first video game console was built in 1966 by a team of over 500 engineers and technicians.

The advice I would give to women who want to work as testers is to get out of the shadows, show yourselves. I know there are gamers everywhere so, don't be afraid, it's not a job for men only.
